Funding
The Legal Services Commission 'LSC' Legal Services Commission (which was the Legal Aid Board) has recently introduced a new "fixed fee" scheme. What this means is that like all lawyers undertaking publicly funded work, we face some considerable challenges in maintaining services in social welfare related work. However, we are determined to find ways to meet these challenges to ensure that vulnerable young people are able to access legal services directly and easily in an effort to promote early resolution of problems before they become insurmountable. For more details about the recent funding changes please visit The Law Society website below:

LFYP casework is being funded by the Legal Services Commission. This means that legal advice and/or representation is free to the young person unless he/she has income over the LSC financial eligibility limits. Young people will be advised about funding at the start, however if you would like to check your own eligibilty you can do so using legal aid calculator
